Hard work and effort always has a payoff. Sometimes you have to stand back to see what the benefit is, even if it is just the recognition of your coworkers. I looked up "luck happens to those who prepare" to hopefully get some ideas to help me write and I found your post. Yours was the first I found and it inspired not only my post, but reading this changed the way I am choosing to think about my situation. My post was originally going to be about me being bummed out because I work hard, but now it turned into I am proud to put in the work now so I can get the payoff later. Too many people like to pat themselves on the ass and tell themselves how great they are. Then they will turn around and dismiss someone else's hard work as "luck".
