Those who have actually been there and done that quickly learn that honesty and candor can be in short supply. Getting street smart and hustling for a living can make some dishonest and willing do to anything to get a job or land a contract. But hustling does not mean being dishonest and certainly it can be tough when you're hungry to keep stay honest and focused on the task at hand. Sooner or later however honesty does pay off in the end and in marketing as in all other aspects of business it's the long game that counts not the quick buck.
